Cory Question

I'm starting a new tank soon and plan on adding some cory catfish. I was wondering if it is okay to mix species, like having one or two bronze corys with a few peppered corys or panda corys

They feel more comfortable in groups of their own species. In tanks with more than one species the different types of cories will only school with each other out of necessity--ie only one of each species. If you want different colored cories the bronze cory comes in three varieties: bronze, green, and albino. Most pet stores sell at least two of the color variations of C. aeneus.

Like hedgehog said they do better with their own species but it is going to be better to have AT LEAST 4 corys in your tank. How big is the tank that you are going to be putting them in?

THUNDER RED AND BLUE MALE CROWN TAIL
SNOW WHITE MALE VEIL TAIL
4 CORY CATS :)

In a ten gallon, I'd suggest pandas. They are a fair bit smaller than the other species (not as small as pygmies, but definitely smaller), so you can fit more in. One betta and 4-6 pandas would be good. :) The larger ones are a bit too big for a ten gal, IMHO.
As everyone has said, best not to mix species unless you really have no choice (for instance, I got my bronze, peppered and albino as part of a mixed bag, and they live with the single remaining panda from an old school. This is hopefully only temporary, though!)

Life.

I would recommend pandas, too. They're cute and fun to watch. You could have 5 or 6 in a 10 gallon.
