Cool another idea for my 29 gallon

i'm rethinking my plan for a sorority right now. i still want my community tank, but in the best interest of the fish i already have, i may do one male betta instead of 6 females. so here is what i've come up with now. opinions?

Equipments:
Tank (LxDxH): 30 x 12 x 18 inch (28.1gUS)
Filters: Tetra Advanced Filtration 20-40

Selected species: [Edit Species]
1 x Betta [Male] (Betta splendens)
6 x Panda Cory (Corydoras panda)
6 x Blue Pearl Shrimp (Neocaridina cf. zhangjiajiensis var. blue)
6 x Harlequin Rasbora (Trigonostigma heteromorpha)
6 x Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi)

Have you considered other types of tetra? Nothing against neons, but they are just what everybody has, so look out for interesting alternatives like green neons, glolights and cardinals. :)

Life.

Many of my scaly friends from my original tank from 2011 have passed, except for two! I am in the process of re-doing my tank. :)

neons are completely fine, but some alternatives would be
cardinal tetras
ember tetras
pristilla tetras
von rio tetras
x ray tetras
celestial pearl danios

16 gallon - 11 neon tetras, 6 Pygmy cories, 6 kuhli loaches and 1 male Betta
15 gallon - 1 male Betta, 3 platies, and 5 guppies
6 gallon - 1 male Betta

All planted tanks

In My Opinion a Betta deserves nothing smaller than a 5 gallon tank

Celestial danios are cold water fish that like faster currents, so they may not thrive.
Plus they are still somewhat rare in the trade.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

It is similar with guppies, guppies do much much better in lower temperatures, yet nobody does this for them, celestial pearl danios still do much well in a tropical temperature tank, and do well without mich of a fast current

16 gallon - 11 neon tetras, 6 Pygmy cories, 6 kuhli loaches and 1 male Betta
15 gallon - 1 male Betta, 3 platies, and 5 guppies
6 gallon - 1 male Betta

All planted tanks

Yes but this could make them more susceptible to illness. Guppies have been bred for generations, while CPDs haven't been in tanks more than a few generations, most are still wild caught. :/ They'll live, but it'll be much shorter of a life, and they will become duller and not show off their lovely colours in warmer water.

Try looking into Furcata, threadfin and gertrudae rainbowfish. They stay small, and are very colourful. You may not find them in a small town pet store. Of the three species the Furcata, fork tailed/common blue eye, is most commonly seen in stores.

The same goes for guppies mate. They do well in both temperatures IMO, it's just a smaller gap
