Snail in a 2.5?

Ok so I have two bettas and two tanks. Each is 2.5 gallons. I need to baffle the filters and get a power strip (currently I can only plug up two things... heaters come first). After I do that could I get a snail (mystery)? What are their needs? Algea pellets? Calcium supplements? If not in with the bettas could I buy a small bowl for one or two? I like snails...

I wouldn't recommend any type of snail in anything less than 5 gallons.......with apple snails needing atleast 10 gallons minimum. Most of this reason is due to the amount of ammonia they produce and how much extra food they leave over

Don't you have rabbit snails? They have a relatively short waste compared to apple snails.

Yeah, they are pretty little snails. I like my Malaysian trumpet snails much more though

I wouldn't commend them for a 2.5 unless you are able to do one 75-100% and one 100% water change weekly

Many of my scaly friends from my original tank from 2011 have passed, except for two! I am in the process of re-doing my tank. :)
