Free duckweed - A small envelope portion shipping is 75c . Claim it here and I'll PM you later.
Salvinia may also be present if requested...
I also have a small Jar of Guppy grass. This stem plant can be planted or left floating, and grows very fast, is a good ammonia sink (though probably not as good as duck weed!)
$3 for all + $1.50 shipping
annndddd 10 free Ramshorn snails...( take as many as you need) none of these lay eggs yet, so they wont breed if you only buy 1
$2.50 shipping ( I still have to figure this out ) They only breed fast if you have excess food or algae in tanks. if you feed your fish with no excess these guys will grow very slowly.
I can probably ship single snails in envelopes for $1.50 shipping
How big are the ramshorn snails and do you have any pictures ? I would like a snail for Perseus tank but he ate a small Pond snail so might be best if I dont get one. He checks out every inch of his home there is nothing he doesnt miss and its a 5 gallon..lol My hornwort takes up most of the water surface so I cant really put anymore floating plants in.
@perseusmom - my biggest one right now is.... 1cm. how small was the small pond snail...?
I think I have larger pond snails in my other tank I'll check for you. But they may...... lay eggs.
@Kfryman- sure! what did I send you last time? :O I have terrible memory XD
Thanks for the bay area info heads up last time. they do have lovely tanks. and I now know where fremont is! LOL
I like the look of salvinia too. I'm trying to encourgae growth in my 2.5 but neither the duckweed or the salvinia does very well in the filter current.
Yup it stays on the surface... but the filter current may pull it under, it also sticks to everything some people hate it for that.
PM me an address and I'll ship them out tomorrow I take PAYPAL, with payment sent as family or friends, or I'll have to charge you the extra fee paypal charges otherwise
Thanks for posting the snail pictures they are nice looking snails. I am still unsure if I want to try one or not, Perseus is a big hunter I am afraid he would kill it, the pond snail he ate was very small about the size of 2 pieces of rice put together and it might have been on one of the moss balls cause that is where I found the tiny shell I would have been so worried if he had ate the shell as that seems like it would be hard to digest. Go ahead and give them to people who want them and if I ever decide to get one I will send you and message to see if you have left.
Would you have any moss for sell ? I see someone else wants the guppie grass but if you have anymore I love some too. Thanks !
I have two questions. Is there a refund in the case of DOA? Also, what is there still left? Thanks! I might be getting some but don't hold anything for me.
lol, there is not refund for free stuff unfortunately i try to make shipping as affordable as possible. However if you're afraid for DOAs you can pay for priority shipping. which would be $5.50 I think.
Hey Ao, I think my duckweed is dead....
I thought it was doing well in the cup I put it in, but i noticed that it doesn't even really float anymore...and it hasn't been multiplying in the least bit. I feel like I'm losing more than I'm getting.
:O put what you have in buddhas tank...
might be the water :/ I dot think duckweed likes clean water.
if it does die let me know and I'll ship you some more for free when mine multiplies out again.
I didnt know you can kill the stuff... I accodentally buried some and one is up against the tranparent wall in the container under the soil. its been three weeks and its still green...lemme take photo
edit: added photo
can you take a photo...? It might actually be the salvinia that died..
Umm I just attempted to get the pic, and it didn't work :<
It's too small and light for my camera to get it.
It's literally, like, see through and it doesn't look anything like your duckweed in the pic :<
