Jack's takes good care of them, but when i went in, they were so busy. And the ones with finrot had all just come in today (were still in their blue medicated water) I was like "seriously. seriously. my gods."
Poor guy knew next to nothing about the bettas either. He was more informed on the angel fish and the creepy crawlies (the insects and arachnids.) /=

Well to counteract all the nasties, this comment and my spawn are the two awesome things oh! and finding a wild coloring female in the store :o I did get a "rescue" female... She's minor, missing some scales, chewed fins (barbs and tetras), and the other fish had ich.

Wow, it's so great to see someone standing up for betta's! It sucks that so many people just regard fish as 'useless' or as a 'decoration' thus not providing the proper care. I would love to helpin raising awareness to (: I think it's a really honorable thing.

Current Betta:
Mulan: Blue/Green/Red HM Male

Those who now swim in the Rainbow Ponds:
Spike: VT Purple Male
Glaedr: CT Yellow Male
Ezio: DeT Dragonscale Male
Stu (Founder of the obsession): CT Blue Male

The thing is, ait really takes is one knowledgeable person amongst betta owners and buyers to make a difference. I own bettas, and I have guinea pigs - both have some rescued ones in there, because my bleeding heart can't shut up Like Squeak, the dumpster guinea xD she got a home with 2 kids :3 and I was picky who got her so she got a forever home (and a note to say I will willingly take her back if problems arise)
