I want a girly!!

After decorating my new tank and thinking about the colour betta I want (I started out wanting a red male veil tail because his colour will pop against the neutral colours of the decor but after lots of thinking and looking at the empty tank and thinking some more... I think I'd like a girl! I never pick girls, all my pets are always boys! I even thought I was having a boy while pregnant with my daughter! But seeing pics of people's pretty girls and how gorgeous they can be even though they don't have the long flowing fins they are actually quite pretty! So, I know what to look out for with a boy, flaring and fin state etc but what about girls? Is it the same sorta thing.

Thanks :D

Gone AWOL....

females are a little less aggressive, unless it is personality wise. females don't have a grumpy like face though. in some finnage's are long, others are short. sometimes around males, they tend to get "eggy" which are unfertilized eggs pop out of the ovispotor XP (sorry i spelled it wrong, lol) so pretty much there the same ;P i have 4 females, 4 males, and 1 un-sexed little guy XP most of the time they could be in sororities :)

I say get a female. They have soe much personality, and can be just as pretty. In fact 1 of my females is prettier then any of my boys. I also find them to be a bit more active.

Tiny and Squirtle (squirt)

RIP:To all my sweet bettas swimming under the rainbow bridge. Shall miss you all.

when i had my first sorority, they where FULL of personality :D they would jump for food, and the strangest thing ALL my sororities done was trying to swim against the glass wall or something :\ it was strange, my females now (not in a sorority) do it still, but not always.
but i agree with 123andpoof, but it is your choice :)
