I've had cellophones/butterflies with the sheen of blue. My one boy, Juniper could've been a butterfly but was missing the coloring on the dorsal then of course his sheen turned into actual blue

Breed for the breed, not for the money; the words any REAL breeder would understand.

Wow..sounds gorgeous..I have seen those fishy's too..with hints of greens, purples, and pinks, in the whites of the's so daughter says "Those are the fish that glow in the dark" could be onto something...:) they are Pearlescent, like a pearl..or opal..

iridescence is a gene passed down from parents and means just that. It is that pearly, blacklight, bright violet sheen over the actual coloring. Its like dragons scaling just clear and iridescent. It's not excluded to one coloring pattern or type of betta, any combination can have a marble look to it. Dreamsicle is a cute name! I'm kinda jelly about him. Orange is a rare color to come by.
