Stop scaring me!!!

A few days ago, I moved my two boys into my divided/cycled 10 gallon tank. Even though I know they should be fine, I'm still worrying and fretting. One of my boys likes digging in the substrate, and whenever I see him particularly happy and still curled up with his head shoved down, I worry that he's dead. Stop scaring me, fish!!! Does anyone else have this happen to them?

hm...I don't. I also have a 10g cycled/divided betta tank. Is your divider clear? I had to replace the clear material in mine with 2 pieces of black material from Michaels so they don't stress out.

Rosso has taken a nose dive into the gravel before and appeared to be stuck and just now he was in a weird resting position that was just questionable. Why would he want to swim in his temple and turn down so that his head is poking out through the bottom hole (please note that I could not see his pectorals, so I had no idea if he was well).

He does not do this on a regular basis though.

It's a thing that my boy has always liked doing. I just freak out now when I see it because he's in a new tank and I'm worried that something's gone wrong. XD What a tease!

Yeah, my 20g is divided and I'm very glad that I softened up the divider's rough edges and checked for anything poking out. I used plastic mesh from a craft store as well, and apparently it feels really cool when you rub yourself up against it while swimming. I was afraid it was a relapse of ich, but he never flashed against anything else. He just likes the mesh.

Wystan -- Pastel DeltaT Male -- 3 gallon
Abel Magwitch -- Wild-type RT King Male -- 20-gallon divided
Unnamed -- Red Butterfly? HM Male -- 20-gallon divided

Loki -- American Eskimo Dog -- 8 years
Kiara -- "Domesticated" Feline -- 5 years
Horatio -- Hermit Crab -- 5 years?
