Import Question

Soooo I made the mistake of looking at breeder websites that sell HalfMoons and such. I'm hooked on 2 of them. I'm REALLY considering buying them. But I have no idea how much it's going to be. I've had these on my mind for the past 2 days.

Can anyone tell me how much shipping usually is? The Bettas are on nicebettas.com

I'm located in Florida. Any recommendations on which transhipper to use?

IF I do decide to get these two, I will end up purchasing the infamous PetCo book shelf tank and divide it for them with a ton of plants.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Mr. Vampire may have bought from that breeder before? I remember that breeder being talked about in threads here, you might be able to google it with Nicebettas + bettafish.com?

.....Betta Fish are like potato chips, it's hard to have just one!

There is a transhipper in Florida. You should look and see if you are in the same area as them to minimize shipping costs. Your best option is to ask the seller and transhipper for prices. They will give you accurate results and quotes on the amount and price of shipping

But aren't some transhippers better than others?

The one in Miami is "only" a 3 hour drive from me...

Yeah. That one is an okay transhipper. Jeniffer and Linda, are the only ones I trust

Thanks for the input.

In your opinion, would it be better to try the one in miami, since it's closer? And perhaps cheaper?

Well. Usually the issues start with transhipper with shipping, so I would say go for it

I emailed the shipper in Miami. I've requested an estimate for shipping cost. The Bettas alone are so pricey... I have a feeling the shipping won't be cheap either. Plus a new tank and set up....

Well, perhaps I can convince my family to help a little with the cost. I just recently got accepted into Phi Theta Kappa (an honor society for college). Usually they send me a little money to "celebrate" with.

These two can be my Phi Theta Kappa Bettas hahahaha

I'm loving the bettas there. But I'm wondering if it's a little too much...

Who did you use for trans ship, Thomasdog?
