MALE OR FEMALE? Give me your expert opinion

This is a fry of a friend...She would like to know if it is male or female. What do you think? All comments/opinions appreciated.

Can you shoot a Pic of it Flaring? The Beard Size should help a bit.

The ventrals look male to me. Being so young it's anyones guess really... Looks female by fins but I have adult females with thick ventrals :/

'Egg Spots' can show in Very Young Males. When they get older, it gets smaller.

Whats this bettas breeding? I'm assuming plakat based on the fins, body shape and coloration. Correct? At this point I believe it is a male!

One hand reaches out and pulls a lost soul from harm. While a thousand more go unspoken for, they say what good have you done? By saving just this one... It's like whispering a prayer in the fury of a storm. And I hear them saying... You'll never change things...

I'm not sure about it's breeding. She got it as a fry. They were selling all these tiny babies for next to nothing. She rescued a couple and was wondering 'what' they were.

This looks like a Growing Veiltail to me. The Short Branches at the Top of the Caudal Fin getting Longer at the End might explain my guesses.
