Betta walmart mission!

So in walmart today i just couldn't help but take a peek at all of the betta fish... well unfortunately instead of a happy glance i was horrified to find fiish in small cups with only an inch of water in them. Not even enough room for the males to flare out their fins. The fish area was left unattended so i took the liberty of using the sink and filling up every single cup to the tip top. I filled about 50 or so cups and watched them swim around (as much as one can swim in a full cup) and i felt accomplished. Then i found a staff member and complained.

Poor fishies /:

Yay! Such happy fishies!

I could never decide if I should be using the spout for cold water fish, or warm water fish. :P

do they just leave water conditioner out near the sink? I am curious to know if you put water conditioner in there too.

I don't want to post for the original poster--but every Walmart I've worked in does keep their fish supplies out in the open--especially food, conditioner, etc. That, and there's the pre-conditioned spouts mounted just above the sinks, to the left, for when we're bagging fish. ._.

That's awesome :)

When I finally made someone change the water in the betta cups (because when I complained and left the store the first 5 times, they did nothing), she used the water out of one of the aquariums o.O I was thinking it was probably the wrong temp, and who knows what diseases could be floating around in there!

The only cure for ignorance is education, and bullying or attacking someone is no way to educate them.
