Petsmart tomorrow

I think I'm 100% certain I'm getting Pudge tomorrow (or well, in a few hours)

So, can someone tell me, what are the clear signs of a happy betta besides

-Flaring at neighbor
-swimming around
-no sign of bloat/ dropsy/ SBD/ fin rot

Also, how can I tell if a betta is a marble? I love them, but I'm not a HUGE fan of light colored I'd be upset if I got a white betta and it wasn't amarble...

Any advice will be looked at.
I won't post on here until tomorrow, but until then, thanks <3

Baby Buddha(M VT) ~ Oddball (M-DeTxHM)~ Little Chai ~ Lucky(F oto)

I seem to have a problem with collecting things with scales and fins. Oops

It's great your possibly getting Pudge!! :D Can't believe you get another Betta and I don't. :/ Oh well... It's great for you so congratulations!! :)
A healthy Betta is a happy Betta so you should pick out that Betta. Well, you technically listed the most common signs of a healthy one. BUT, there are more signs.
- Check if there are any white casings in the cup. If there is, he has internal parasites. >.< You'll need medicated foods for that.
- See if he's active and alert. He will respond quickly to your movements and flares most of the time so to speak.
- Bring a flashlight with you. Just to see if there's any sign of Velvet or any external parasites and to see his colors. ;)

A Betta is technically a Marble if it has splotches of color. A white Betta will technically get some red wash later on. You can also tell if it's a Marble if the gill plates have darker or lighter coloring than the rest of the body and fins. Don't be surprised if you have a solid color Betta and next it's a Marble. Sometimes that happens. Well, post pics of Pudge!!

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!
