betta color question

when i first bought kuro, he had red in his tail, now that he's older, the red has faded out. generally he looks baby blue. however under intense lighting he is white and under less light he is green.
What are the chances of this red coming back?

well, Honeycomb was pure bright yellow with white/cellophane tipped fins when i got him. He is now paler yellow, black, iridescent blue and white. So betts colors can change...just check out my albums and you will see what i am talking about ^-^

There's a gene that can cause a Betta to completely change colors, it's fascinating. There are a couple articles online about it. Chances are his red won't be back but he'll look like you got a new fish!

The last photo looks quite similar to my Lychee Berry, besides the fin difference. Same exact colors though. Sadly I have no idea what to call his colors, so I'm am of no use...but I can stalk this thread to see if anyone else knows...I wonder if Lychee will turn different once he's older. He def has that light blue tint happening sometimes.
