I meant it for bettas. The wild Betta spp are so dark in color, that a white one would stick out like a sore thumb.

Unless your betta lives in an outdoor pond with constant sun and no shade, you have nothing to worry about. It's the same thing with humans. If you spend a lot of time in the sun and don't wear sunblock you have a higher risk of skin cancer. Our bettas are in shaded and non-natural lighted tanks. I've never heard of an aquarium fish getting skin cancer, just the pond fishes.

Oh okay, I misunderstood. But yeah they would stick out pretty bad lol.
