Question Introduce New Betta?

I got a new betta and is sitting in a bowl. I want to use my water from another fish tank and use that for the betta. Is it ok as long as I keep the ph levels and the temperatures recommended for bettas?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean....are you talking about taking water out of another fish tank and using it in your bettas bowl? Or using the same water source? Or are you asking about introducing your betta into another tank?

Ahh, gottcha. Thats what I assumed, but I thought I'd make completely sure before I went and answered a question that might not have even been exactly what you ere talking about. xD

Anywho.....I've....really never seen or heard of anyone doing that before. Any particular reason you're considering this? I don't think there is really much point to it....it might even be a bad idea overall. Fresh dechlorinated tap water should be just fine...

lol I just don't know if betta's need cycled water? Can they just survive with direct tap water and de-chlorinating it?

Yes, they can. They're actually one of the hardiest fish around...

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!

Does the bowl come with a filter? I don't think cycled water will do much regardless if it isn't. But yeah, they're fine with treated tap water.
