lol!! I actually did see that a day or two ago & thought it was weird... but I thought it was just a flaw in the dorsal. I didn't examine it closely enough to realize it was photoshopped! Good eye!

I just went back & looked at his other bettas, & most of them are photoshopped too. So everyone, beware of ninebettas- you might not get what you pay for.

Its not uncommon for the pictures to be photoshopped. I think it usually is just to make the picture clearer and brighter. It may emphasize certain areas of the fish. If you shop online anywhere their is a good chance what you are seeing is somewhat photoshopped. But I know a lot of breeders do it. Its not a bad thing

they usually just sharpen the picture. 8U some do brighten them, so, say you get that boy, he might not be as bright blue. it's pretty rare for them to mess with the colors TOO much, though.

lol maybe changing the colors is ok, but if you look closely you'll see a few odd things about the tail & dorsal...

I think the tail weirdness is just a water spot on the outside of the tank...

I don't quite see what you see. On the top pic the dorsal is cut into by the tail but that is the natural way the fins overlap, isn't it?

In the second pic there seems to be a blurry water spot on the tail.

Is that what you mean?
