Question White things on filter sponge, what is it?

I was doing a water change yesterday and seen little white things on the sponge that I had put on the intake tube several months ago. They just showed up overnight the other morning. They are white, hard, and are stuck tight to the sponge like they are glued on. They are the size of seseme seeds, only a little bit smaller. What can they be?

In the tank I have 2 Nerite Snails, 2 Cory Catfish and a male Betta.

Yup, definitely nerite snail eggs. They remind me of sesame seeds; nerites will lay eggs in freshwater even though they won't hatch... it can be frustrating if they start laying on decor but otherwise it won't cause any problems.
