My First Rescue?

While looking on craigslist for a good 55-60 gallon tank for my stepsisters goldfish I found a betta tank. Being that i am also looking to get a betta tank for my other stepsister I looked at it and noticed it had /wbetta. While glancing over the picture I saw the dirty water already, it's just repulsive and cloudy, I'm sure the tank rarely gets cleaned. Then I looked back at the wbetta in the add and back at the picture unable to see a betta but I think it might be the black thing laying at the bottom of the tank. If so he's not in good shape. I messaged the people saying I want it since it's only $10 and I NEED to save that fish. I hope he's alright, they haven't messaged me back and I hope to dear god he wasn't already sold to someone else.

Still no contact, I wish they had given out a number I could call...though that won't help since I lost my phone today >.<, even just their email would have been nice. Grrr waiting is so frustrating.

Wow. Really hope you get the tank. The betta is probably very beautiful.

Messaged them again, if I get the tank and betta I can always use the tank as a hospital tank and I already have a 1 gallon hospital tank set up for the new betta. I'm excited and I hope they get back to me. This next weekend I might go pick up more small hospital tanks and heaters.

Well if all goes right I will be getting this guy (adoption still being considered) and my stepsisters half moon elephant ear milticolored male. My stepsisters fish I will be keeping for sure after I treat his fin rot, this one I am not sure if I will adopt him out after he recovers or keep him for myself. I haven't even seen him yet. Either way being my first rescue he would have to go to someone special.
