Ssssoooo I took a "betta test" to see how much I know about bettas, and apparently I only know them 44% because they don't come in brown which isn't true because I have seen a brown betta! And apparently they live in "Muddy, swampy, dirty, hot, small tropical puddles!" And may I ask how many KINDS of bettas there are?? Hhhmmm??? I'm just mad! Because I don't think this person knows that much about bettas! *sigh* how many KINDS are there exactly?
Also some species of betta do come from small swampy puddles/pools, but that doesn't mean that the water itself is filthy. I think sometimes people get confused about the word 'stagnant' which actually means slow-moving, not dirty. There are probably a million times more microbes and other bacteria in natural bodies of water than there are in our aquariums.
Sounds like a pretty poor quality quiz if you ask me. So I wouldn't get too hot and bothered about it.
My Betta looks reddish brown when there is only regular lighting. She only shows the purple when you shine a flashlight on her. I'd like that quiz maker person to look at my Betta and tell me what color she is (without the flashlight of course :D )
Link?? Please.? D:
There are a TON of tail types. Let me see... CT, VT, DT, HM, DeT, SDeT, PK, HMPK..Not sure on Rosetails if they're actually and officially a tail type. That test must be some crap. I'd be pissed off at the person who made that, but don't take it too seriously.
Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!
