Vegetarian betta?

Zephyr decided he likes algae wafers. Apparently no one told him he's supposed to be a carnivorous fish.

heh, at least he isn't bloated. I had to fast Ludendorff in a separate tank with epsom for a week bc he was so pitiful after devouring an algae wafer. Then, puts him back in the tank after a week- what does he do? Look for more algae.

I can't feed the snails anymore in the tank!

Yup, my female does the same. Though if you read the ingredients, most algae wafers have a surprisingly large amount of fish in them!

Remember that the tank your fish lives in is his or her's whole world. Ask yourself this question, and answer it honestly: would you choose to live there?

My betta will try to eat dead plant matter if I don't clean it up. I guess the small stringy ones look like bloodworms? Strange guy.
By the way, I loved Sailor Moon as a kid! (=

Midnight will suck a snail into his mouth and then spit it out. I don't know if he's a slow learner and keeps thinking the snails are food or likes playing catch with himself. -_-

I also loved Sailormoon as a kid. I own the old release of the manga, but I've been buying the re-release anyway. XD
