Talking My betta is just like a teen..

Okay, so i'm not sure if this happens to others ; but my betta, Zuko, is just like a teen. After 11pm, he's really tired and if i try to feed him he doesn't want anything and he's EXTREMELY clumsy at night!! He acts like he doesn't notice the items in his tank and swims really slow at night and bumps into them LOL is this normal? he just bump his face into them lightly but it's weird.... any ideas or does Zuko just have issues?

Bowls=for cereal... so you eat bettas?

Your Betta needs to sleep (sort of) at night just like anyone else. He needs 6/8 hours of dark time. If he's kept in a lighted room, you ought to cover the tank.

Speaking of covering. It's a good idea to cover his tank with cling film (Saran Wrap). This keep the air he breaths at the surface warm and moist. They like that.

The condensation means the air is moist and warm. I don't know about smelling funny. My tanks smell like freshwater wetlands.

Anabantids (Betta, Gourami,) don't breath much air. Pulling the clingfillm back to feed is all the air they need. You don't need to seal it tight; put holes in it if it makes you feel better.

I did have holes it in and got reallyyyy bad condensation.
I guess that water + duct tape glue+ water the water sitting there and not being moved made it smell funy. It wasnt nasty, but just didn't smell like i wanted it to.
