I have a bloated/ constipated fish, i will be fasting him and putting him in a half gallon for treatment, what kind of epson salt is used. Is it special aquarium kind or regular human kind? I need to know asap so I can go buy some in a few. Thanks

There is no aquarium specific epsom salt.. Human epsom salt is the one we recommend and use. Remember to get unscented salt and just plain magnesium sulfate. Also premix it first so you won't "sting" the betta. Good luck!

Oh, yeah... Magnesium sulfate is basically epsom salt, just make sure that's the only ingredient in the package. Epsom salt comes in this carton like those cartons of milk except bigger.

Magnesium sulphate is the chemical name for epsom salt. Any unscented Epsom salt is good the scented ones aren't for fish use.
