It's happened to me a couple of times and I always regretted not going for it.. so now I have a rule that if my "inner voice" says buy it, I just do... no regrets then! Good luck and do keep us posted!

Alright, we're going to the store today. I have a shopping list and I'm up to about $150 in supplies for a couple $3.29 fish. Sounds about right.

I went back and the male I really wanted was gone. Without him, the female just didn't look so nice anymore. But it wasn't a total loss. I still came home with a TINY crowntail female. She is way too small to be in a pet store, as far as I'm concerned. And she just kept looking at me, like they always do, with those sad little eyes. You know the story. I'm now down $138, but I still got a nice looking fish. She should be great when she grows up.

Cool beans! Glad you found a lil' fishy that will keep you busy. Post pics when you can, we'd love to see this new addition.

She's a bit of a pain to photograph from the side. Every time I get near the tank, she turns to face me. That personality is a big part of why I bought her. And when she flared out a little, she looked great. She just needs to cooperate with me on the photography. Other than that, she's black, and needs a name. I'll have to think about that a bit.
