Kind of disappointed...

I bought all 9 of my female bettas for my sorority thinking they were different colors.

3 of them ended up being exactly the same color, and I am kind of disappointed. They are all a purple-ish color, and are bright and beautiful...but it's really hard to tell them apart, lol!

What would you do? I'm kind of tempted to exchange one or two of them for different colored ones, but they've been in my tank for a couple weeks now and everything is going smoothly. Decisions decisions...

they will change color a bit as they grow plus each will have a different personality. keep them. you are bound to lose a few then you can replace with new colors.

I wouldnt replace them if everything is running smooth right now.
Yeah, you'd end up with different colors, but what happens if they dont work out in the tank?
I myself wouldnt risk it.
They will grow up to be different sizes and shades of color. I had 3 males PK's, all from the same spawn, I couldnt tell them apart at all in pictures since i couldnt tell which tank they were in. Then I realize they were all different shades and had different fin shapes so it makes it a lot easier.

That's kind of what I figure. They've already grown quite a bit in the two weeks I've had them, and they all do seem to be getting along swimmingly. I just need to stop looking at others and second guessing whenever I go to the LFS, lol!

You do have a point in losing some, although I'm hoping that because I got them all young they will live for a few years. :)
