How to move fish to new apartment

Hello everyone!

I am moving into a new apartment at the end of april, How do I successfully move my fish too??? I have a 20 gall full of fish, 7 bettas, Four goldfish, What is the best way to go about this? Any tips will be useful! Thank you!!!!!

Place your fish in separate containers or bags and move and acclimate them just like you would new fish you just bought.

The tank-unless you empty it to move and this is the best way. But if you can't- I would empty all the water and place the tank on a board to carry/transfer the tank to the new place. Especially with 20gal and large glass tanks-the added weight from the substrate, residual water, decorations...etc... One wrong move/twist can split a seal and you could have a leaky mess.
