First Time Mom

I got my first betta just over a month ago and I can't believe what fun a fish can be. My boy has such a personality and is a bubble making fool! Now I understand why people like having bettas.

They have a TON of personality and they really are amazing creatures (like all life)!

I must ask, what kind of setup do you have for him?

My dream is to educate the world about animals and show them that they are just as important as us

5 gallon with Socrates
20 gallon long with 2 new boys (divided)
10 gallon with Ariel
2.5 with Maximus

Whatever you do, Do NOT buy any corydoras, between bettas and corys I could own 1000 of them,

I have him in a 10 gallon, bow front tank which is filtered and heated. He has lots of room to swim around and seems to love it and I also got him some plants to hide in. He also has LED day and night lighting. I origially bought a three gallon tank and not too long after decided it was too small. He seems to be happy in his current setup!

Thank you! I think it looks pretty nice I must say ;)
I decided to put one of those tank backgrounds on becasue his tank is in front of my mirror and I didn't want him seeing his reflection all the time and thinking there was an intruder, LOL!

Ok make sure to note that since your tank is not cycled that you will have to do 10% water changes every so often. Because the filter will only pick up food and poop but won't actually clean the water of ammonia.

I'm glad you got him a 10 gallon though :D
