Since I had an extra 2.5 gal lying around and a plan to mix up my personal 10 gal tank, I asked my sister if she wanted to take my three tetras and pick out her own Betta to keep in a tank in her room. She said yes and was excited about it so we went to Petco today to pick up everything she needed. At first she said all the Bettas there were ugly and she wanted to go to Petsmart, but I convinced her to stay and look at some more Bettas. I picked up an Elephant Ear male (my favorite) and at first she was 'Eh' about it but later on she really liked him so we took him home along with four albino cory cats for my 10 gal.
We got home and I set up the tank for her while she thought up of a name for her new fish. The Fairly Oddparents was on TV and so my sister decided to name the fish Cosmo. Okay then. xD
And now, your favorite part, pictures!

He shares his tank with three neon tetras. As for the cory cats, they've settled in nicely in my ten gal with my female Betta, two dwarf frogs, and a (temporary) Pleco. ^^
The reason why I switched them out was because of my killer female betta. -.- I used to have six of them, but every now and then one of them would "suspiciously" die off and now I'm down to three. I guess Esor just doesn't like them for some reason. She's fine with everyone else, though.
Cosmo has been renamed Triton. None of the three tetras made it. :( My sister wanted to put in platys but I said no because the tank is big enough for only one fish. She kept whining about how it wasn't fair so I told her she could upgrade to a 5 gal. She's all for it and we already ordered a 5 gal online. Hopefully Triton will be happy in it!
As for the fish himself, he is already turning much redder around the face and fins! I'm still new to colors so can anyone tell me what he is?
A 5 gallon is only big enough for one betta, or can be divided for two. It can't take tankmates like neons, platies, guppies etc anymore than a 2 or 3 gallon can. 10 gallon tanks are needed for other fishy tankmates.
In a 5 gallon she could have a snail or shrimp as tankmates.
