Vote: Would you purchase a Double Tail Veiltail?

I have seen a rise in popularity reguarding VeilTails, especially on this site. This has started quite a bit of brainstorming in my mind. I attempted a breeding attempt before, but it was a bust as I pulled early as my girl dazed herself by running into the tank glass. Anyways, I was inspired by goldfish tails to breed a line of quality DTVTs. Specifically this kind.

Before I try this, I would like to hear from you guys. What do you think of this? Please vote in the poll. Would you purchase a DTVT, if bred to show standards of other countries?

If you have anything extra to add, please let me know!!!

I have had a couple of DTVT males in the past and I really liked them.

However, are there even show standards for a DTVT?

Glad to see you got the poll up :)! Personally I will stick to more desirable dt types like hm, ct, hmpk. I don't like that "empty" look of their tails.

They would be more aligned for the VT show standards (of other countries - America doesn't have VT standards). They would just be DT. This would include long anal fins that look as if they could connect with the long caudal. The caudal will look slightly raised by the first ray, but overall will flow downward.

Sure! But wouldn't it take many breedings to establish this trait? Or do they already exist for you to obtain a breeding pair?

What colors are you going for?

They would point at the end. I like the tails to spread to a point at the end. Not a whole spreaded tail, or a completely pointy one.

I have a dt geno (originally thought it was HM, but looks more VT) and a VT with a great spread in her caudal. Was hoping to give this same pair another shot.

As far as colors, my male has a bit of dragonscaling and the female has a bit of irid to her. The male has a small bit of BF pattern, but I don't expect this color to pull through in the fry.

I voted yes but I can't really buy from you since I'm in Canada. Sorry if that skews your poll if you're looking to see how many people would buy from you. xD

Not a problem! I bet you could, Olympia!!! I'd have to get in contact with a transshipper in Canada and talk about it, but I bet I could pull it off!!!
