the fact that i have no money helps me. x: you should try to bring JUST ENOUGH to buy the things you need, and try to not bring any more.

I remind myself that I have no extra tank and any new betta is going to be miserable in a tiny unheated cup until I buy a new tank.

10g: Rouleau - crowntail plakat male
20g tank: 4 neolamprologus multifasciatus + babies
5.5g: Nick - doubletail male
75g: harlequin rasbora, peacock gudgeon, green cory, red rainbowfish

well since I'm only 13 my mom has to come with me to the petstore and I look at the bettas every time and she always says NO but one time I actually convinced her to let me get a EE so it isn't always a reliable plan but you should take somebody with you to the petstore that wouldn't let you get another one unless it is really really sick... but I don't really see why you are trying to stop it is not like you have any power over those cute little eyes...LOL

3 males: Mardi (OHM) - Mason (HMPKCTEE) - Maddux (HMPK)
1 female: Mercedes (Undecided again) Maybe VT or Delta

I try to convince myself that despite the fact that I have 5 extra tanks and two extra heaters, plus decorations and fake plants and gravel, that I do not have the time or space for another betta until after college or after one of the two I have right now passes away. (Which better not be soon, because I love them both so much and I've spoiled them.)

I don't really have much money to spend at the moment, so I try to make a checklist on my phone to bring with me of the things I need and the prices, so I can get what I think is most important on my list, and that usually sucks up all my money. Like, the next time I go to my LFS, I need to get more gravel, possibly more plants and driftwood, more Seachem Flourish and Prime, 12 ghost shrimp, 2 zebra nerite snails, aquarium sponge to stuff my filter with, a better filter, more light bulbs, fishy meds just in case, a betta log, and a liquid test kit (which I'm ordering off of Amazon instead). It's a long list, but it usually sucks up my money fast enough to keep me from buying another betta. xD

I have a friend come with me, and when I'm saying things like, "aww...he's SO cute!", her job is to smack me on the side of the head and drag me out of the store.

I know how you feel, which is why I try to do most of my shopping online ><
Cause I can't afford aquabids fish! Lol but for reals, I make exceptions for rescues I know I can heal or properly care for. Three of my fish are rescues (Ray Charles and Tsarina, including Fiorenzo, may he rest in peace.) But with me, they are all doing great! I saw the cutest PK male when I was with my boyfriend last last, but since we were in a hurry, I managed to resist the temptation. But he's still on my mind...

My dearest fishy friends: Chappy, Scatha, Jocasta, Tsarina, Halcyon, and Mr. Golden Super Happy Fun Time (Mr. Gold)!
