Question Breeding quality?

I'm not good at judging form/color. What do you think?

What would I breed him to to get more yellow? I know it's not as simple as breeding yellow to yellow.

I wouldn't unless you got a female with very good history and topline. The color is okay but that topline is not good with that scoop head of his.

Not breeding worthy IMO. He has a bad top line, it spoons, hunches, and its lumpy. His anal is excessively and color is to the best.

Heres the Bettas4all standards. B is the HMPK. To find a quality HMPK youll need it to resemble B as much as possible, see how his topline is like a smooth curve and the yellows topline is all over the place

His topline alone would make me discount him completely as being breeding quality. Not sure if it is the angle of the shots but it looks pretty bad. Definitely agree with MattsBettas.

Now that I see what you mean, I totally agree! I'll use those pictures as a reference
