Mirror or no mirror?

I've read different opinions on this subject. Some people say to put a mirror up to your betta once or twice a week for a few minutes to exercise him, and others say don't do it at all.. that it's needlessly stressing him out. What do you guys think?? Thx!

When I still had a male, I did it about three times a week. It encouraged him to bubblenest and caused noticeable regrowth in his fins after a very difficult bout of fin rot.

Life.

I think getting your halfmoon males to regularly flare helps maintain their form. You don't just don't do it excessively as to avoid causing stress.

Even most of my wild betta males and females seem keen to have a go at the mirror, particularly the males just hitting maturity. I think it provides good exercise and mental stimulation for them.
