Is this a rule at your house??

I swore I wasn't going to get a new fish. I have a fish bowl mostly for emergency's. Well I went into a pet store to get more plants for my 10 gallon tank. Well of course I have to look at the betta's! Well my son saw the one I had in my hand and named it Cupboard. And It's an unsaid (now written) rule that if it's named, it's coming home with us. Well .. . . I now have a new betta named Cupboard. He's gorgeous though! I can't get a good head to end of fin pic. He keeps moving. Butt head. LOL Well I know I'm eventually upgrading my 2.5 and bowl to a divided 10 gallon, but not financially there yet. I do feel good getting a betta out of that stupid cup. Less than a cup of water :/ not cool. So is that a rule in your house that if it's named, it's yours?

Wink

Names are so important when naming our pets. I named my veil-tail male Betta-fish Rusty due to his red coloring. Cupboard is an original name since most of the betta fish in pet stores are stored in cups. Good choice.

If you are looking to where to buy tanks I know that PetSmart has a lot of tanks to choose from.

The rule in my house would probably be no more fish. Unfortunately, I am the only one who loves them.

Oh I know! I've spent way to much at petco/petsmart the past 3 months. Lol I just am going through a smal rough patch monitarily. Next month is looking brighter AND it's my birthday, so I know I'll be getting a new and bigger tank then. But for at this moment that is where Cupboard is at which is better than the cups. He does have a small heater too.

My rule: If I want it, can afford it (food, medical bills, other needs), and have space to put it... its mine.

I kinda dread the day I have children like me. We're going to be that crazy animal family. It's funny because my boyfriend is not an animal person at all. In fact, he'd be content to never having a single one. I, on the other hand, could never not have my babies.

The mom of: Too many to list now.

I can afford the fish. I already have a spot for him, I just have the big spot I want for him.

Right now the rule in no more tanks. That was until my room got so messy and stayed that way for so long that I bribed my mother into letting me buy a shrimp tank if I cleaned it up. I must admit, it looked pretty good for about a week The rule might need to be bent a little once I finish setting up the two 10gallons and a 2 gallon shrimp grow out tank

If my family had that rule, we would own about fifty ducks. My sister always names the ducks at the lake where we visit my grandparents over the summer
