How hard does your Betta bite?

I have read so many posts where owners were worried or scared of being bitten by their bettas...

I have several of my sorority girls who will happily try to sample me every time I put my fingers, hand, or arm (Its a deep tank, gotta reach almost up to the shoulder to get plants into the gravel!)...but it does not hurt. I can feel it for sure, but it's not even as noticeable as a pinch.

Do some of you have bettas that do hurt when they bite?

No, I've been bit before and it's never hurt me at all. But they must be able to bite pretty hard, because once one of my fish chewed through his plastic plant.

They have super strong bites but they have tiny mouths compared to us so it never feels like more than a tap. Now if their mouths were as big as their bite THEN we'd be in trouble LOL!

The more I think I know, the more I think I don't know much at all!

Ollie bit me 2 days ago and it smarted a bit. He doesn't usually bite. Some of them can bite hard or perhaps it's just the random surprise of being bit unexpectedlly.

That might be true. I know 100% for sure that I am going to get nibbled on daily. I sink mini-pellets for the tetras, which doesn't stop the girls from coming up to my fingers and nipping / stealing some mini-pellets.
