OMG, this hobby...

I just harvested my first mosquito larvae, and I am so excited about it.

Had you asked me a year ago if I would even be remotely interested in fish of any kind, I would have told you no. I don't know what happened to me!

Well, I do. Bettas. Bettas happened.

Yes. Yes exactly!

I can't wait to actually put a barrel out the catch some mosquito's too! I just need to find a suitable bucket! Yep, about a year and a half ago I would be like "yeah, they're cool...." and that's it XD

Bettas are amazing :D I bet they LOVE the mosquito larvae. Is they hard to harvest?

10 gallon planted - HMDT male betta, 4 peppered corys, assassin snails, Amano shrimp
10 gallon divided bare bottom - HMPK male, 2 VT males
29 gallon sorority planted [journal] - 6 females, 4 bronze corys, trumpet & nerite snails, 3 Amano shrimp

I've liked fish in the past but I would not have imagined being this interested in one type of fish and have as many tanks as I have. If you want mosquito larvae just put a bucket of your dirty fish water out for a week or so you will get some.

They were super easy to harvest--I just used one of those fine-meshed shrimp nets.
