I can never get another betta that looks like one I lost... am I alone in this?

My first betta (well... since I was a little girl) passed away a few weeks ago. He was beautiful, and I find myself looking at other bettas that look like him... and I just can't even consider it. It would be too much like "replacing" my little Milo. You know?

Anyone else in the same boat?

5.5 - Xerxes. Divided 20L - Henrietta & many snails.

Swimming in the warm waters of betta heaven: Milo, Dragon, Jasper, Shiloh.

I sort of feel the same way. If its a common color like just plain blue, then I can understand, but then again, there are so many color varieties out there now that it wouldn't be too difficult to find a different betta, even if the difference is something as simple as the tail type.

Males: Cobalt, Storm, Cloud, ????

Absolutely. I would never want to consider getting a betta that looked like any of my previous ones. The color red is OUT for me :(

Eris (chocolate VT) | the Kraken (pastel VT) | Phobos (cellophane DT) | Deimos (piebald DT) | Ketos (blue CT) | Charon (mixed DT)

I still feel the same about my first betta. But it would be hard, since he had a unique pattern and was a marble. :(
