Gender and Fin Type?

So, I have a baby betta that I named Hannibal after Hannibal Lector because the red and dark purple reminded me of the TV show version of the character (plus red = blood and what not)

I was thinking he was a male but I've now been told he/she/it is starting to look like a female and I can't get it out of my head. It's driving me crazy being confused about this. Hannibal flares when I put the mirror in and he/she/it sees it, but both genders flare so...

I'm also wondering if it's possible to tell what tail type he/she/it is at this point.

Does anyone have any input?

its still baby like what you mention. you can just for him/her to get older. or look for signs such as egg spot, bigger beard (for males) and etc. sorry not much help lol
