Question What kind of Betta is my baby?

I just bought it, they told me its a betta but i dunno. And if it IS one, what kind is it? Is it male or female? I need to know so i can name it! Haha.

And yes i know that's a huge shrimp, and it's smiling. And its a small bowl. The big tank was dirty :C Gonna clean it up tonight.

It's possible that it could turn out to be a delta tail!

Actually it's not possible. I know it's hard to see but she has only two ray's in her tail which denotes either VT or PK. VT always has the classic droopy tail and her body looks nothing like a PK so we can rule out PK. In order to be a DeT or higher she would need more than just two ray's in her branching.

To learn more about what a ray is, look here: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....39#post2613201

I hope that ghostie isn't as large as it appears in that photo, LOL! Of course, the two I have in with Klaus are getting awfully big now so I'm wondering when their growth with stop. I must say you have a very lovely betta boy.

D'oh! And I knew that from the photo too. I'm so used to calling them boys. I've often thought about getting a girl but I always end up buying males.

Oh lol, that's okay! I do the same things sometimes, I was just uncertain if you actually did think it was a boy or not ^_^
