Smile Yay! I'm getting two bettas tonight!!

Before basketabll practice I'm going out and getting two bettas. One boy and one girl! They of course will live in seperate tanks but I'm just sooo excited! It is the first time I'll be owning fish, I'm a teen already, isn't that sad its my firsht fish! Well anyway I just wanted to tell people and my friends don't care!

Also quick question: I have a light iin the tank, how many hours a day should I keep that on? and what time should I feed them?? before school andbefore bed???

Thanks y'all!

Good luck finding little buddies!

I usually leave my light on for about 8-9 hours a day, but I have live plants. Just make sure you turn the light off at night, so your fish can get some sleep. Also, don't leave the light on for a while, or you'll get algae growth.

"Whoever said fish were low maintenance obviously never owned fish"

Good luck picking out your two new friends. Post some pictures of them when you can.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I had pet goldfish as a kid, but none of us really new how to take care of them. I think it's better to get them when you're older and more responsible. Can't wait to see some pics. :)

I know! You take about a hundred pictures before you can pick out a few decent ones. ;)

I'm still trying to get the perfect picture of my cuties!!! But nothing is turning out the right way. Either my camera is too slow or my fish are too fast, or both!!! haha
