Exclamation IBC Betta Pals

Has anyone gone through this program?

I Will be getting my membership this Summer Sometime, I would like to start Breeding and Showing, but before that I would like to know a little more about it I have read the site and the Show rules. However judging, classes, and divisions explanations are not very clear. It would be nice to talk to someone who has or currently is Showing.

Check out that green betta, <3

Ya I hate judging standards :P

I gave up trying for them months ago. I haven't gone through the program myself but some betta forums have a mentorship program that is online and is step by step and more hands on. Maybe if we could start one here it would help alot of our members.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

Have you considered joining any IBC clubs? I don't know if they have any in your area but I can look...

ETA.. well they don't have any betta clubs in Oregon at least not any listed on the IBC website.

I haven't gone through the program yet but I plan to when I'm in a position to breed.

I couldn't find anyone that showed in Oregon XC I plan to do a small set up with four 3g set ups for males two 5g tanks for breeding and a 10g sorority tank for my females. I also have plastic tubs for grow-out tanks. I won't start any of that till the end of June because I wont start the program or enter IBC until then. Going to college and fish breeding might be kinda of a stretch but I don't have cable or internet so oh well.

I think I might just call one of the breeders up and talk to them I don't care much for emailing if I can just talk on the phone about it.

I agree with you Mr.Vampire there isnt a designated area for talking about showing let alone mentoring. Though I can understand since I have really seen many people creating threads about it.

Click on the pic or the red X.
You'll see an awsome looking Betta and others!
