I used to say Beta (but spell it Betta) but that is simply because the morons that sell the fish pronounce it beta. I didn't actually realize it was pronounced Bet-uh until I watched a youtube vid on Betta Barracks a few months ago.

I guess I'm the loser that still pronounces it Bey-tah. Hard habit to break, especially with my southern drawl.

I've always said it Betta.

Just comes naturally to me. One time I was talking to a petstore employee and said betta and she was like, you mean Bay tuh right????

Ummm yeah.

Well now I do feel bad, lol. I can't help it, I've been saying bay-tuh all my life. It's really hard to say bet-tuh in my head and out loud. Plus it doesn't help that my whole family and boyfriend and his family say bay-tuh. Oh well...
