i had this problem too. I got four new males in the span of one week so I was spending all my fishy time with them and wasn't paying ANY attention to my other 4 :( They got really depressed and just sat around or sulked :( I found it so strange how their behaviour changed.

Give your guys some frozen bloodworms and make sure to give them at least 10 mins of attention/stimulation a day each.

Same happened to me :/ I got 4 at once and it was so overwhelming that I ended up ignoring all of them (long time ago). I felt really bad, but a few frozen blood worms, attention, and they'll be back to normal :)

Water changes.....

freshwater fish will thrive best with fresh water.....not just survive.....big difference...

Sorry...but if you don't have time to tend to your fish and be responsible you don't need to own them....not much better than walmart IMO.......

Doesn't matter whether you have a filter rated for a 20g. You should be doing water changes at LEAST every other week, even that is pushing it.
