Talking Question

I don't know too much about HMPK but can they just be regular fish without being dragons? Like, the face I mean. Just have a normal face and scales everywhere else? I want to learn a bit more about them... Since I almost am suspecting my 'female' to be a male and it seems to be plakat looking...

What do you REALLY mean by regular? Do you mean colors like other bettas? I did have a purple dragon HMPK,but he died. Now I have a mustard gas HMPK.

55 gallon planted tank, starting over!!!( looking crappy, needs a major rescape)

Yes, they don't have to be dragons to be HMPK.

Agreed. HMPK is a tail type.. it is completely separate from color genetics.

Here is my white HMPK, Jasper.. no dragon on him :)

I think the dragon gene originated in PK crossed with a wild type which is probably why you often see dragons in the PK and HMPK tail types.

Oh okay. See, I think my supposed 'veiltail' is a HMPK because the fins are all tattered and ripped so I bought 'her' to get 'her' better to really see....
