My Johnny's dead. :'(
John, the betta I just started treating for popeye, died. I found him this morning. He isn't playing dead. I turned on this light over my dresser that would freak him out for about 5 seconds. He didn't move. He's upside down too.
I litually started treating popeye yesterday. I cleaned his 1.5 gallon tank out completely. Used epsom salt 1 tsp per gallon so I put in 1 and a half tsp. Used dechlorinater. I even put him beside the new female he likes to help him adjust.
It just wasn't enough. Now, my female is really sad. She keeps swimming like a depressed fish. She will look into John's tank, then swim away slowly. She does swim in her usual pattern, around the top of the tank and around the bottom, just slower, and looking at either John's tank or at the bottom of her own tank.
So, now, John can join the person he is named after. R.I.P., John. I loved you, and always will.
I love my 6 baby creamsicle mollies and swordtail boy Nemo!
