moving fish?

this fall i will be going to college so I'm planning to move my fish to my grandparents conveniently they live in the same town. I'll have my 14g biocube up there and running a few weeks before I move my fish. I'm just wondering if there are any suggestions on how I should transport them. It's about a three hour car ride.

Stormfin, (red blue) mix/ R.I.P
Crimson, (red) R.I.P
Denard, (blue, black, red) mix

Tank stats (14 gallon biocube)
4 peppered cory catfish
4 Tetras
1 Rubber Lip Pleco
1 Black Kuhli Loach

custom ~7.5 gallon
1 VT Betta
3 albino cory cats

Your betta would probably survive a 3-hour car trip in a cup (with lid) in the cupholder of your car, but this method would be much more comfortable for him:

Have a safe trip! :)

Bagging your fish is the safest method of transport. IMO any ride over 30minutes should be in a bag. The bag keeps the fish from getting knocked around and injured. I would bag the fish and put them in a box or a cooler where they can't move around. Keeping them in the dark will keep their stress levels down.

Travel is very stressful for fish so after moving them make sure you give them extra nutritious food and keep their water really clean to prevent illness.
