Talking I want a fish tank for my desk sooo bad!!!

Well yup i have 3 tanks and want another. (MTS gotta love it!) So since i have no more room by my beds and my night stand is unfornutaley in direct sunlight my desk is my last option! (i tried convincing my grandma and dad to get a betta but no.. lol) The only issue is that my desk is made of wood. And i have my computer,a lamp, and my electric keyboard which i love. So what can i do? By the way if i do get a tank for my desk i can probably fit up to a 3 gallon on my desk. ( i just moved my computer over lol) Another problem i have however is that my grandma is already ticked off about my 20 gallon and she won't be easy to convince. My plan is too ask for a tank for hanukah or x-mas. And boy do i hope it works! So anyways what do i do about the whole wood and electronics thing? Me wantz a fish! This will probably be my last tank sadly though because i already have three others and i dont think i can handle more than four.

I'm guessing you mean, how can you protect the wood against the unevitable spills?
I cover my tables with cut squares of vinyl. Just enought to cover the surface around the tank. Whatever spills outside the vinyl, I quickly wipe off.
You can go to the craft store and get creative, even a table mat would work.
Good luck with the convincing. What's another tank, right?

I put styrofoam and a tea towel under mine. My tank came with the syrofoam as packaging so...why not? You could also keep a towel handy for wiping up any spills.
