$334 for a HMPK!!!!!

For the life of me, I cannot see what makes this one so special. I would be livid if this betta has the marble gene and turned solid blue.

Makes me wonder, what is the most you would pay for one betta????

That's ridiculous. That fish isn't even that pretty or anything.

And the most I'd pay for a betta is $5. It's already enough that I spent close to $300 spoiling a $4 fish with a big tank, awesome heater, nice filter, tons of plants and decorations, and all the chemicals they need to be happy. Not to mention he eats better than I do.

Nice fins.. but I have no clue why anyone would pay that much.. even if he was a Giant.. which I don't think he is.

Probably $20 tops. because--
1. I'm cheap
2. It's a freaking fish
3. I don't breed my fish, so no need for perfect genetics.

I can see paying up to $150 for a single betta.. but that is because I'm looking at Giants and they usually start around $80. One day I hope to have that kind of money.

And of course the money I spend on fish is an investment in breeding so I'm going to pay more than just your run of the mill pet store fish.

I will admit to trying to bid over $120 for a betta. I said trying because I waited seconds before the bidding ended and my darn iphone connection sucked.

Nope.. 7 inches without fin was the largest recorded. Downsouthbettas had one that was 6 inches. I believe the average is 3.5 inches. I saw one owned by Jen Vivieros that was about 4 inches I believe.
