Yes that is a bubblenest but don't get him a female just because he made one. Breeding isn't easy and you really have to research it, it's not just about putting the male and female together.

I don't know if you've gotten O_O... a bigger tank yet, but as beat2020 said, just because he blew a bubblenest doesn't mean you can get him a female. You will NEED a 10 gal or larger to spawn. There is a how-to breeding thread on the Breeding boards.

There are some threads about breeding in the breeding section of the forum. However I wouldn't recommend you breeding him just because he made a bubblenest as breeding takes time and dedication. Also you have to research for months or years before you try breeding.

Like everyone else said, breeding is very very hard work. It takes lots of money and time to breed. If you would like to breed I highly suggest you read the threads in the breeding section and also read the articles in these websites..

www.bettaterritory.nl

http://www.bettas-jimsonnier.com/

www.bettysplendens.com

Then once you know how to breed you can think about what you want to breed. Every breeder has to have a goal more than just making baby fish. You have to have a reason to breed whether its to produce the best fins, a good color, or both. After you decide what you want in your breeding then you can look for breeding stock that mirror the qualities you want in your fry.

Research is the first step.
