I have never read that one, but have seen it.
The one I like best is a book written by Walt Maurus "Bettas A Complete Introduction" a T.F.H. publication. It has some out-dated information but overall it is a pretty good book on Betta Splendens.
I also got a book called "Bettas" by Robert J. Goldstein Ph.D., a Barron's publication and it is okay, not the best book, but it has more information on wilds and genetics than the Maurus book and a bit more up-dated with some information.
