Peaceful Betta ?

http://theaquariumwiki.com/Peaceful_Betta

Never heard of this before. Are they bonkers or am I just un-informed?

Betta Imbellis is indeed the peaceful Betta and it is also a wild type. The only species I believe you could have a male and two females. I am still looking into getting a trio myself.

Bettas: Rose, Sophia, Addie, Ghost, Buster, Holt, Aidan, and Mercutio!

I'm reading up on this a little. I am seeing statements that multiple males can be kept together peacefully (?) wich is why I was thinking they may be bonkers. I guess not.

If they can be found as colorful, and with similar fins and tails to splendens, I may be interested in trying a few in a new tank.

If you have a big enough tank and enough females you can. They all look the same, the image on the Article. Besides the females, which I believe are a brownish color.

Bettas: Rose, Sophia, Addie, Ghost, Buster, Holt, Aidan, and Mercutio!

There are many wild species of Bettas that can be kept together. When it says imbellis have similar tails to splendens it doesn't mean long fins, it means they have a traditional plakat fin shape.

Imbellis are not splendens. They aren't going to have the color and fins that splendens do because that was bred into the species over a hundred years.
