If they werent allowed to sale fish with problems, Walmart wouldnt sell any fish. Last week I took my 2 yr old son to see the "fishies" and when we got back there he turned to his mommy and said "Mommy whats wrong with fishies?" We look over and there was like 10 fish floating in the top ofjust one of the tanks, we went to customer care and complained. It seems to have done some good, the tanks still suck and most of their bettas look horrible but the isle no longer smells of death.

...That is so sad, I didn't know that bettas and other fish stay in stores for such a long time, it's surprising actually I thought people snatched them up pretty quickly. That makes me want to get all of the oldest ones there and take them home with me. :'(
Sometimes I do see sick fish at walmart, and petsmart seems better about it but every now and then I see dying dead fish. When I got my female, Autumn, there was a poor little betta that was dead in his cup. It was so sad. Actually, walmart is pretty bad about the care, they usually look healthy but if one dies they leave it there for the fish to pick on and eat....how gross. :/

I'm sorry for rambling, haha
That is great you gave her a home! I'd like to see pics of her too!
She's probably excited that you got her since you've been visiting her so much before. Fish most definitely recognize people. :)

Posted a pic of my new girl in the betta photo section. She seems to be doing just fine. I am thinking that she was just giving up when I seen her, either that or she was faking it for me to feel sorry for her and to pick her up!

Yah. Look at any post. You see on the left side where it says the username? Above that is the time and date
